A day exploring the sea of Cortez
Just off the coast of La Paz, Espiritu Santo is the crown jewel of the Sea of Cortez and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Espiritu Santo has the most intact ecosystem in the region — and several of its plants and animals are found nowhere else in the world!
Using the island as a base, you can design your ideal day in paradise: kayaking or paddle boarding, hiking desert canyons, snorkeling and diving with playful California sea lions and schools of tropical fish, or simply relaxing on the beach with a cold drink and good book in hand. You will also enjoy delicious catered snacks prepared with fresh local ingredients.
Baja Expeditions’ founder Tim Means, together with a supportive community, played an instrumental role in the designation of the island archipelago as a protected area, supporting the health of its ecosystems and creating opportunities for responsible access and visitation for future generations of locals and visitors.
